The race has begun for companies all over the country, and the globe, to implement new safety precautions to be prepared for when the workforce returns. It is critical for companies to have methods to prevent the transmission of any illness to keep their workforce safe and continue productivity.

 

Amazon, one of the world’s largest retailers, has begun implementing employee temperature monitoring. Employees get their temperature taken before each shift as a method to quickly prevent any transmission to other employees. Amazon faced pressure from workers, union officials, and government officials to take greater measures to protect employees as much as possible. It is important that all companies follow Amazon’s example and increase safety for all employees. Not only does this method increase safety for employees, but it also increases safety for the public.
